Director (Science and Technology): 01
Deputation (including short term contract): For Armed Forces Personnel: Deputation or re-employment.
Officers under the Central Government or State Government or Union Territories or Recognized Research Institutions or Public Sector Undertakings or Semi Government or Statutory or Autonomous Organisations:-
(A) Holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or
with five years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in posts in the scale of pay of Rs.10000- 15200/- (5″ CPC)/ PB-3 Rs.15600—39100/-+GP Rs.6600/-(6″ CPC) corresponding to the level of the 7th” CPC or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; or
with ten years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in posts in the scale of pay of Rs.8000-13500/-(5″ CPC)/ PB-3 Rs.15600—39100/-+GP Rs.5400/-(6″ CPC) corresponding to level 10 of the 7th” CPC or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; and
(B) Possessing the following educational qualifications and experience;
i) Master’s Degree in Physics or Geology or Geophysics or Chemistry or Botany Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized university or equivalent.
ii) Ten years’ experience on Research and Development out of which of three ears’ experience should be to planning formulation and supervision of a project and the field of Science and Technology.
For Armed Forces Personnel: Deputation or re-employment.
The Armed Forces Personnel of the rank of Lieutenant Colonel or above who are due to retire or to be transferred to reserve within a period of one year and have the requisite experience and qualifications prescribed for deputationists shall also be considered. If selected such officers shall be given deputation terms upto the date on which they are due for release from the Armed Forces.
Thereafter, they may be continued on re-employment terms. In case such eligible officers have been retired or have been transferred to reserve before actual selection to the post is made their appointment will be on re-employment basis. (Re-employment upto the date of superannuation with reference to civil posts).
Job Requirement:-
To take up various Science and Technology related proposals/activities. Initiate programme for science popularization in the North East Region and responsible for implementing Telemedicine Project, Computer education Programme initiating program (s) of Research and development of the Regional economy and liaison with implementing agencies such as the Universities of Research and Science under CSIR, ICAR, etc.
