Chief Advisor
Essential Qualification: Post Graduation in any discipline, preferably in science or management. A doctoral degree is preferred.
Essential Professional Experience: The applicant should be a senior and distinguished professional who held Group-A post, having more than 15 years of experience and demonstrated ability to integrate science, technology, environment, organizational, Evaluation and analysis of survey/data, inter-sectoral, and socioeconomic issues. Experience in dealing diplomatically with high-level functionaries would be an added advantage. Ability to communicate through oral and written means at the highest level
of governance would be necessary.
Desirable: 1) Experience in a Central Government Department/ PSU’s / Autonomous Bodies and demonstrated ability to integrate science, technology, environment, organizational, Scheme
evaluation and analysis, inter-sectoral and socio-economic issues with exposure and experience to International Organizations like the United Nations, etc.
2) Dealt with high-level functionaries at the highest levels of policy and governance and dealing diplomatically.
The Chief Advisor “Strategy and Sustainable Development” would be required to advise and counsel the KVIC on matters of strategic importance and sustainable development. His scope of duties also includes guidance to:

Keeping in view of good health appropriate for the work and level of expertise, the maximum age shall not exceed 65 years as on the last date for submission of application.

Chief Advisor
Maximum consolidated remuneration shall be Rs.1,25,000 (Rupees One lac twenty-five thousand only) per
month. He will not be entitled to any other allowances or other facilities that are applicable to the regular employees of KVIC. He will be eligible for TA/DA for undertaking official tours, if any,
in connection with the discharge of his duties at par with the rates applicable to the post of Jt. CEO in KVIC.

Evaluation of data/ analysis of the database of the KVI sector
(including input survey) for various States and at
International level and prepare comments for finalizing the
data.
Comparison of results with previous data and other relevant

reports on the KVI sector/ scheme.
Preparation of tabulation plan and other instruments for
processing of data.
Advice on the strategies for the next five years and positioning
the growth of the KVI sector.
Such other activities as may be required from time to time.

- This engagement is purely on retainer ship basis and temporary in nature. The engagement shall be for an initial period of one year extendable from time to time depending on the requirement and performance of the Chief Advisor “Strategy and Sustainable Development”.
- The Chief Advisor “Strategy and Sustainable Development” shall have no rights or claim whatsoever for re-employment in KVIC after the termination of the assignment.
- The Chief Advisor “Strategy and Sustainable Development”
shall be eligible for 8 days’ leave in a calendar year on a pro-rata basis. For absence beyond 8 days in a year, his remuneration will be reduced proportionately. Also, unveiled leave in a calendar year cannot be carried forward to the next calendar year. - The Chief Advisor “Strategy and Sustainable Development” shall not disclose to any unauthorized person(s) any details of KVIC, operational process, technical know-how, and organizational/ administrative matters and the same shall be kept as confidential/secret.
- The engagement can be discontinued at any time by the Commission without assigning any reasons thereof. The candidate also can disengage from the appointment giving a month’s notice.
